An excellent discussion on the Windows Phone and the direction of Microsoft with an all encompassing operating system. However, no one questioned the security of such a system. Since Windows is and has been a target of hackers for decades, will an operating system for phone, tablet, PC/laptop become a major issue?

Hi Bruce,

Initially there were some holes, but with the release of WP 8.1 they have been effectively filled. I would put them essentially on the same level as Apple or BlackBerry. Android with Samsung KNOX may be there as well, but there have been some questions raised by security firms.
