CallTower and Sprint Collaborate on Hosted Unified Communications Solution
CallTower and Sprint have announced that the two companies are working together in order to offer a new solution, incorporating CallTower's UCaas service with Sprint's integrated wireline and wireless networks to enable Unified Communications that can be called truly mobile. The solution should provide businesses with increased productivity, lowered costs, and enterprise-class reliability, while eliminating the need for expensive hardware and infrastructure developments, support and upgrade concerns, or frustratingly long or complex deployments.
"Unified Communications is causing disruption in many ways, including how previously separate industries are merging," says Dave Michels of UCStrategies. "Adding various UC tools to mobile handsets makes a lot of sense and this solution will likely be very helpful for many types of business customers."
Sprint Mobile Integration, the solution the companies created, enables users to call corporate users via an extension number from a Sprint mobile phone, providing a single number, central voicemail, and enhanced call management features. Completely integrated with Sprint's 3G and 4G networks and related wireless applications, the solution eliminates local trunks and provides cost savings and lowered calling rates. CallTower's service will be provided to locations leveraging Sprint's Global MPLS network and deliver CallTower Unified Communications services.
