Cisco’s 2QFY10 UC Results Shine – Indicating Strong UC Market Recovery
Cisco’s reported exceptional recovered results for its second quarter of its fiscal year (2QFY10) on February 3, 2010. Overall revenues finally turned the corner with both year over year (y/y) and quarter over quarter (q/q) improvements. For UC y/y growth was 17%. Given Cisco’s roughly 20% share of the UC market, this should be signaling a pretty strong recovery in UC for the industry as a whole. And, since Avaya, Siemens, Mitel are private, Cisco is the only public US company amongst broad tier-one UC-players, it may be the only firm indication of a strong market recovery we will see.
