Mitel has announced enhancements to the Mitel Solutions Alliance (MSA) developer partner program, extending the value of its advanced communications portfolio. Included in these enhancements are the launch of the Mitel Platinum Preferred member level, as well as the expansion of its SIP Center of Excellence.
Mitel's MSA program provides third-party partners worldwide with resources, support, and channel visibility, allowing them to create applications and services that integrate with Mitel's Freedom architecture and generate revenues and productivity. With these enhancements, Mitel now identifies the most strategic third-party solutions for exclusive Mitel Platinum Preferred membership, providing extensive collaboration and go-to-market support, along with a "one-stop shop" for quoting and ordering pre-integrated solutions.
Along with that, Mitel's Interoperability Certification and SIP Center of Excellence labs have been enhanced and expanded to support the Mitel Interop Certification Program, working with MSA partners to validate third-party solutions with Mitel core products for integration and functionality.
"This move by Mitel to beef up its centralized support systems is a great way to jump start reseller activities while transitioning their resellers into the new skill sets necessary for UC solutions," says Orrin Broberg, UC Expert for UCStrategies. "The key question will be how soon will the Mitel resellers be able to fly on their own and not have to depend upon Mitel for this service."
