SonicWall, a Global Network security company, has begun using Zultys phone systems across its sites worldwide. With three Zultys MX-250 and two MX30 IP phone systems in each of its four sites, SonicWall has reduced its operational costs by $10,000 per month.
Zultys uses an extensible SIP-based solution that easily adapts to different architectures, which allowed SonicWALL to run Zultys alongside its existing system with a T-1 connection between the two. With a simple installation and maintenance, engineers and operators could focus on testing and other core tasks, rather than wasting time with installation. SonicWALL can now route internal and external calls over their data network to their various locations with less analog lines while migrating to an internet telephony service provider.
SonicWALL employees can dial extensions, chat, and see Presence, regardless of location. With the addition of MXIE, they can integrate and manage communications functions through an OS-independent desktop client.
“It’s a strong statement to the robustness of a solution when a high-tech company, in this case, network security provider, SonicWALL, not only employs technology, but is willing to talk about the benefits they gained through its use. Clearly demonstrable ROI stories, such as Zultys and SonicWALL can only further help push the adoption of UC," said Nancy Jamison, President and Principal Analyst at Jamison Consulting.
Adds Blair Pleasant, co-founder of UCStrategies, “Zultys is not a household name, and it’s important for the company to get more exposure and name recognition. Having customers like SonicWALL validate Zultys’ products is a testament to the company and its technology. As companies of all sizes, especially SMBs, move toward unified communications solutions to help them save money and improve worker productivity and effectiveness, we expect to see more interest in Zultys’ all-in-one appliance.”
