SPIRIT DSP has announced the next version of its multipoint video conferencing software, VideoMost.com 2.0. This new version is an HD quality software-only product that enables service providers and enterprises to deliver a video conferencing service from an on-premise installation or the cloud.
VideoMost.com 2.0 takes business collaboration tools such as screen and file sharing, broadcasting, and many others, and combines them with its video conferencing technology. The conferences can be accessed from any browser, while it provides different downloadable clients for desktops and iPads.
Among its new features are enhanced video quality thanks to TeamSpirit Voice and Video Engine 3.2, broadcasting and recording API, SIP integration to support legacy SIP hardware endpoints, support for LDAP, support for all popular browsers, and additional features such as file sharing, recording, and text chat.
“The Spirit DSP announcement of their VideoMost 2.0 release highlights the global interest in video conferencing solutions," says Marty Parker, UC Expert at UCStrategies. "VideoMost 2.0 emphasizes the ability for service providers to deliver a self-branded video conferencing service. The solution is also available to enterprises, but will compete with many established video conferencing solutions, both from UC products which now incorporate video conferencing and from the specialized video conferencing and room video producers.”
